Marshall L. Davis Sr. is a Democratic candidate for Florida’s 24th Congressional District and a longtime Miami community and arts leader. For more than four decades, he served as managing director of the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City, which Miami-Dade County later renamed in his honor. At the Center, Davis managed public budgets and assets while developing arts, education, and workforce programs for young people. His campaign emphasizes using that experience to expand economic opportunity, direct federal resources into local neighborhoods, and build cooperation across cultural, generational, and ideological differences.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives represent the people of a specific congressional district. They vote on federal laws, the national budget, taxes, healthcare, immigration, and many other issues that affect people across the country. Each representative also helps constituents with federal agencies and advocates for the needs of their district in Congress.
